Chief Sean Egan was appointed to the District of Columbia Fire and EMS Department in 1986. He has Over 35 years of active service in the District of Columbia.
AS the Deputy Fire Chief of Risk Management Division, his responsibilities
include occupational, Health and Safety for over 2200 personnel,
accident Investigation, injury Investigations, respiratory protection
program, infectious control and agency risk reduction program. He also coordinates special community outreach programs annually.
Other positions include Safety Battalion, Executive Officer to Fire
Chief, Special Operations Command, Platoon and Company
Commander in Operations Division, Commander of Fire Investigation
Unit, Fire Training Academy Instructor, Commander of CSU Program.
He's been awarded 7 fire department and 1 police department commendation
citations and is the recipient of the Cafritz Award by The Morris and Gwendolyn
Cafritz Foundation for outstanding performance by a DC Government
Employee.
